Day 1

Touchdown Paris! Arrive at CDG and meet our ground team who will get you settled and to our first destination, Mont Saint Michael. We’ll be using the quickest and most comfortable mode of transport, the train! Sit back and relax and the French scenery pass by before a short, private transport to our Mont side lodgings.

Day 2

Mont St. Michel greets you with a fairytale landscape and a sense of wonder. Climb to the top to visit the Abbey and its famous cloister then try some of the famous omelettes that this area is so famous for! We’ll enjoy twilight as the Mont tucks in for the evening and have dinner with some of the best scenery that France has to offer.

Day 3

Caen is on the agenda today and we will be visiting the world famous WWII Peace Memorial. This museum walks the visitor through the different stages of WWII and its aftermath. This state of the art museum immerses you in the story of heroes and tragedy and pauses to remember the ultimate cost of such horrible circumstances. We’ll wrap up our day with our first look at the shores of Normandy at Point Du Hoc. Ground zero for the first wave of invasion, this is where the story of the turn in the war begins.

Days 4 to 6

Welcome to Bayeaux! Our base camp to explore the beaches of Normandy. We’ll not only have expert guides to share the beaches but we’ll also enjoy this treasure of a town and perhaps reflect on another invasion, the one from 1066! We’ll make Bayeaux our home away from home as we pay our respects at the American Cemetery. Then, we’ll head out to visit Omaha, Utah, and Juno Beaches and so much more! We’ll transfer to historic Rouen on the last evening.

Day 7

Wake up to Rouen, this amazing city has witnessed so much and is a great way to see how the old and the new work together in modern France. Here, retrace the stories of many famous people like Joan of Arc, Claude Monet, and even Julia Child! Known as a culinary capital, enjoy an evening with some of the best cuisine in Northern France.

Day 8

Immerse yourself into Claude Monet’s French oasis. Monet spent his later years here in the countryside of Normandy and tended to this idyllic home and adjoining gardens. Today, the historic landmark is a perfect Summer stroll and the adjoining museum in the small village just steps away enlightens and inspires no matter how much of an art junkie you are.
