Day 1: Freising

Touchdown Munich, Germany! The beautiful Munich International Airport resides in the small town of Freising. Spend an amazing evening perusing one of the most charming markets in all of Bavaria. Enjoy a little mulled wine, a festive atmosphere, and booth after booth of classic Christmas shopping as you walk off that pesky jet lag.

Days 2 and 3: Nuremburg

It’s the Grand daddy of them all! Nuremburg is the oldest, biggest and most extensive market in Europe. Spend two days enjoying the best it has to offer. We’ll get you started with a bit of an orientation walk and then set out to shop and enjoy the festive scenery and lights. We’ll also provide an optional historical tour for those who are interested in the local connections to WWII.

Day 4: Stuttgart-Rotenberg-Esslingen

Just two hours away by comfortable train, we’ll make our second transfer to the amazing town of Stuttgart. Home to one of the largest Army bases in Europe, Stuttgart is a great take on how the locals celebrate out of the tourist’s eye. Just a stone’s throw away is the charming Rotenberg with its fairytale village and historic Esslingen, which dives into the delights of medieval times. Doesn’t seem like enough time? Don’t worry, we’ll have all day to enjoy this lovely stop, and our train does not leave until late afternoon for our last leg to Munich.

Days 4 and 5: Munich

As we pull into the main station in Munich on the evening of day 4, be prepared to see the old and the new work together. The city strings together over 10 markets to choose from and the main one will be just down the street from our fabulous hotel. We’ll be sure to point out the amazing sites on an old town walk up the main promenade and make a stop at the famous Hofbrauhaus after a wonderful meal.
