Dates

We are locking in July 1st to July 12th. The fact that this is just short of two weeks sounds like it’s impossible to fill, but honestly, we’ll fit everything in!

Now to the fun part!

Here’s the plan!

As we touch down, our fun begins! We’ll start toward the north in Gdansk, where workers protested and brought down the communist regime. But there’s so much more to the coastal city, including the Baltic Beach! We’ll then start our travel south, where we will enjoy time in the enchanting city of Wroclaw. Along the way, we will get to experience the gorgeous countryside and check in on rural Poland. Once in Wroclaw, we’ll take in just a little of the historic culture before heading to the winter playground of Poland, Zakopane. We’ll round out our last stop when we pull into enchanting Krakow. From this home base, we’ll take time to enjoy the unbelievably rich culture and pride that make Poland so worthwhile! So you’re interested, right? If you’d like to learn more about this experience, please schedule a time to chat with us. We’ll answer all your questions and get to know you a bit better!

Here’s a city-by-city breakdown!

Days 1-2: Gdansk and Sopot

Touchdown Gdansk! We’ll kick off our tour at the mouth of the Vistula River in the coastal town of Gdansk. Here, we’ll settle in with a walking tour of the old town as we shake off that jet lag, then enjoy dinner together at one of the many lovely restaurants close to our hotel, so we can quickly get to that good night’s sleep. We will also include a stop at the Solidarity Museum to see where the fall of communism began.

Get ready for a fantastic afternoon on the beach! We’ll head to the seaside town of Sopot, where we’ll enjoy Poland’s home for all things amber. After lunch, we’ll start our trek south toward Wroclaw.

Day 3: Countryside Transitions

Poland is big, and a stopover in the countryside is the perfect medicine to break up a long ride. We’ll turn it into something special for you by sharing some amazing experiences and moments, including a visit to a farm and an overnight stay at a historic factory-turned-hotel. Both are easily underestimated, but take our hand on this one, you won’t regret it!

Days 4-5: Wroclaw

Wroclaw greets us with several interesting attractions to choose from. Today, we’ll head West and find ourselves in the little town of Boleslawic. Known for centuries as the capital of Polish Pottery, today we’ll show you how they do it and then give you a chance to make your very own masterpiece! This incredibly unique experience is always a great time and seems to produce plenty of fun.

Day 6: Zakopane and Auschwitz

During our transition from Wroclaw to Zakopane, we’ll pay our respects at the Auschwitz Memorial as we tour the Nazi concentration camp. This must-do moment is a life-changer and ensures that we never forget what happened here and our responsibility to one another, no matter the cost. We’ll continue South, where we’ll find ourselves in a completely different landscape as we arrive in the Zakopane area. Here, we’ll get the chance to take in the views and relax in the crisp mountain air on our overnight stay before we head into our last destination.

We’ll include an optional time to paddle down the river and enjoy the scenery of the Dunajec River, or relax and take in the views.

Days 7-12: Krakow

Kraków continues to enchant, and today, we’ll spend the morning at the amazing castle overlooking the river. Wawel Hill has so much to explore, and we’ll see how it has found its place in Poland’s history over the centuries. Here are just a few of the things we’ll enjoy in this gorgeous city:

  • We’ll check in at the Schindler Factory as we learn about the Summer of 1939, then make our way to the Kazimierz district, where we’ll explore the Jewish culture of Krakow.
  • We can’t miss Kraków’s Czartoryski Museum, where the great masters await us. This museum holds many stories that speak to the fascinating history of Poland, and we’ll share them with you as we walk through this impressive palace.
  • One way to enjoy many of the mini-sites around town is to string them together on an eco-cart tour. This will let us see much of the Kazimierz area as well as some of the stunning churches that dot the city.
  • We wouldn’t let you leave Poland without rolling up your sleeves and making some pierogi! We’ll be guided step by step by some of the most wonderful pierogi makers in town.
