Day 1-2: Stirling in the heart of Scotland

We’ll spend some time exploring those beautiful spots that make Scotland so unique. We’ll check in at Stirling to see how things look from the stunning castle and learn a little more about William Wallace and this area that is the heart of Scottish legacy. We’ll round out the evening with some traditional music. Other activities could include the Falkirk Wheel and the Kelpies.

Days 3-4: Glencoe and Ft. Williams

Revel in the splendor of one of the most famous stretches in Scotland. Historic Glencoe awaits with all of its natural beauty. Here, the hills will remind us of the past for great clans like the MacDonalds. Optional activities include checking in with the Glenfinnan Viaduct, distilleries, the Jacobite train, and more. We’ll finish out the day in Ft. Williams with an overnight stay which includes your very first harp lesson with our very own expert Jen!

Day 5-6: Historic St. Andrews

We will enjoy an afternoon at historic Blair Castle where we will have a chance to tour the house and grounds to see a true Scottish highland castle in all of its magnificence! We’ll round out our day with an exclusive Falconry experience that will allow you to interact and better understand these amazing birds of prey. We’ll spend our evenings near historic St. Andrews where we will get to take in some of the musical culture that makes Scotland so charming.

A word about Loch Ness and Inverness: high on so many travelers’ bucket list, this area of Scotland may wind up disappointing the first time traveler. Moreover, the Loch and its famous resident tend to be a drive by site rather than a five star destination. While we are honored to host you at every destination you choose, this may be a good one to pass on.

Day 7-10: Ending in Edinburgh

Edinburgh awaits us with plenty to see and to do! We’ll arrive in style by train and pull into Waverly Station. from here, we are just a short distance to our hotel. Just off the Royal Mile, we’ll set out to enjoy the local area and enjoy dinner and an optional whiskey tasting experience. Optional activity choices will be available throughout our Edinburgh stay. These include but are not limited to walking tours (ghost tour, close tour, food tour), visits to Culross, Rosslyn, Holyrood (as available), Edinburgh Castle, tea aboard the HMS Britannia, scone baking, and more.
