Day One: Touchdown Italy! Ciao Napoli!
Morning arrivals at Naples Airport start the day and as we get you settled. First impressions of chaotic, beautiful Napoli. Your journey begins not with a whisper but with a roar. Naples arrives at full volume — the clatter of motorini, the operatic rise and fall of dialetto napoletano, the smell of espresso and frying dough drifting from a hundred doorways. It is overwhelming, magnificent, and immediately unforgettable.
Day Two: Chaotic Napoli
Beneath its chaotic surface, Naples conceals one of the richest concentrations of art, history, and archaeological treasure in Europe. Today, you go deep — both above and below ground.
Day Three: In The Shadow of Vesuvius
The Forum at Pompeii, with Mount Vesuvius looming on the horizon — unchanged since 79 AD. No itinerary of this region is complete without a morning at Pompei. It is one of the great existential experiences of travel, to walk the streets of a city that lived, thrived, and was erasedin a single afternoon.
Day Four: The Lemon Peninsula
Arriving on the Sorrentine Peninsula, the gateway to the Amalfi Coast. The Bay of Naples seen from Sorrento — Vesuvius brooding in the distance, the sea impossibly blue below. Sorrento is the great hinge of this journey — the point where the chaotic grandeur of Naples gives way to the serene, scented beauty of the Amalfi Coast. Perched on cliffs above the Bay of Naples, it has been seducing travelers since the Grand Tour era.
Day Five: Limoncello
Slow down, smell the lemons, learn the land. Today belongs entirely to the pleasures of Campanian food culture — to the art of making things by hand, from the land, with unhurried care. A day that asks nothing of you except appetite and attention.
Day Six: The Queen of the Coast
Positano’s pastel tiers cascading to the sea in the golden light of a May morning. If the Amalfi Coast has a queen, it is Positano. No photograph prepares you for the reality of it: the pastel tiers tumbling impossibly to the water’s edge, the bougainvillea spilling over white walls, the majolica dome of Santa Maria Assunta catching the morning light. Arriving by ferry — which you must — allows you to see it precisely as it deserves to be seen from the sea.
Day Seven: SS163
The legendary coastal road — one of the world’s great drives. Today you traverse the road that gave this coast its name, the SS163 Amalfitana, a narrow ribbon of tarmac carved into vertiginous cliffs above the sea. It is, mile for mile, among the most spectacular roads on earth.
Day Eight: Jet Set Capri
Capri has been intoxicating its visitors since the Emperor Tiberius chose to govern the Roman Empire from its cliffs. It has never stopped. Today it offers the world’s most stylish piazza, a cave full of supernatural blue light, and views that encompass the entire arc of the Tyrrhenian Sea.
Day Nine: Letting the coast linger
There is a particular Italian art, il dolce far niente, the sweetness of doing nothing, that the Amalfi Coast teaches better than anywhere. Today, the itinerary does not ask you to go anywhere, see anything, or arrive on time. It simply asks you to be present.
Day Ten: Departures and Transfers
Though it’s hard to say arrivederci, we’ll make sure your final day is filled with lasting memories. After immersing yourself in Italy’s charm, culture, and cuisine, you’ll leave knowing you’ve truly conquered one of the country’s most captivating regions.
