North Family: Central Europe

We thrilled to begin the process of finding the exact balance of travel for your family. Our concept is to provide you with a hybrid experience that encompasses Budapest to Krakow. We think you will get the most out of the European experience especially as a family.

Dates: July 1st arrival in Budapest through July 11th departure via Krakow (this means you would depart the States on the evening of June 30th)

Days 1-4: Guten Tag Germany… and hey there Austria!

Touchdown Friesing and welcome to Germany! While we won’t be staying here very long, the little town of Friesing is a great start for our very first day. After lunch in to small town life, we’ll start our first transition into Austria as we take on the historic Eagle’s Nest before taking on glorious Salzburg!

We’ll settle into stunning Salzburg where the hills are still alive with sounds of Julie Andrews and Mozart. Bucolic Salzburg is the perfect strolling town and we’ll take full advantage!

Days 5-6: Transitioning to Austria via Salzburg

We’ll find ourselves in gorgeous Vienna We’ll enjoy the evening in the historic city center with a stop at the palace that Austria’s beloved Sissy resided and plenty of time to enjoy the pedestrian downtown area that surrounds the beautiful St. Steven’s Cathedral.

Day 7: Prague (or another Czech city)

We continue our way north for a little bit of time in the Czech Republic. Whether we make our stop in historic Prague or in a smaller village depending on the planning opportunities that come our way. We’ll make the absolute best choices!

Days 8-10: Krakow Comfort

It’s been a few epic days of private transfer and travel, as we make our way into the most incredible secret Europe has: stunning Krakow. Here, we’ll settle in for the remainder of our journey where we will enjoy amazing food, architecture, art and dive into some of the most important- and devastating- history as we tour Schindler’s Factory and take in iconic Wawel Hill (the local castle). We’ll check in with DaVinci, learn about Pope John Paul II’s connection to the area, visit the Jewish district of Kazimierz, and try our hand at making pierogi! Krakow, known as the Florence of the North, is the perfect end to your trip as it balances the beginning and the end so very well. (Our hotel in Krakow.)

Departures

Your just a 30 minute private transfer to the airport from the centrally located hotel we’ve selected. We know that you’ll be hesitant to leave but as you leave just a little piece of your heart here in Poland, we know you’ll be back soon!

Option 2: Poland from North to South

Dates: July 1st arrival in Gdansk through July 11th departure via Krakow (this means you would depart the States on the evening of June 30th)

Cost per person based on double occupancy: $4500

Days 1-2: Glorious Gdansk

Touchdown Gdansk! We’ll kick off our tour at the mouth of the Vistula River in the coastal town of Gdansk. Here, we’ll settle in with a walking tour of the old town as we shake off that jet lag, then enjoy dinner together at one of the many lovely restaurants close to our hotel, so we can quickly get to that good night’s sleep. We will also include a stop at the Solidarity Museum to see where the fall of communism began.

Get ready for a fantastic afternoon on the beach! We’ll head to the seaside town of Sopot, where we’ll enjoy Poland’s home for all things amber. After lunch, we’ll start our trek south toward Poznan.

Day 3: Warsaw

Exploring Poland’s capitol city is fascinating as we can take in not only the EU’s tallest building but also the totally rebuilt historic city center. We’ll be sure to learn more about how Warsaw was shaped by the events of modern history. Additionally, the food scene here is Warsaw never disappoints!

Days 4-5: Tatras Mountains

During our transition from Warsaw to the Tatras region, we’ll pay our respects at the Auschwitz Memorial as we tour the Nazi concentration camp. This must-do moment is a life-changer and ensures that we never forget what happened here and our responsibility to one another, no matter the cost. We’ll continue South, where we’ll find ourselves in a completely different landscape as we arrive in the Tatras area. Here, we’ll get the chance to take in the views and relax in the crisp mountain air on our overnight stay before we head into our last destination.

Days 6-10: Krakow Comfort
