… takes some time to understand and be comfortable with. We have been conditioned to think that nudity has shock value. In Europe, not so much. The sensible aesthetic to nudity is just not a big deal. While adults that travel will have their own personal shock value moments, traveling with a younger set can bubble up emotions that you might not be ready for. Buckle up and be sure to justify your feelings and be prepared to not be so uptight about a little skin!

6 tips to make art more fun:
- 1- make it a scavenger hunt like finding as many gnomes as you can in Wroclaw, Poland, or choosing the top 10 art pieces in the Uffizi down in Florence.
- 2- try it yourself by finding workshops or opportunities ArtParty in Amsterdam or PopUp Paints in the garden of the DeLaCroix Museum in Paris. Art can fall more into the doing category instead of the looking category. Look to see what art venues are offering for example you can drop in for a drawing session at the Cloisters through The Met or the V and A had a ton of workshops from stitching to photography some free some not but it’s worth seeing if there’s something that you’re interested in.
- 3- read about its historical significance or check in on some quick historical hits from Crash Course. Look for tons of great episodes that cover all kinds of highlights from the past.
- 4- know the details by enjoying collective art like the CarnaValet and its signs, shops, and apartments located in an historic mansion in the Marais district in Paris.
- 5- take the pop culture tour by seeing some street art in towns like Glasgow where you can find the St. Mungo mural or the Girl with Watering Can in Bialystock, Poland, Learn a little about recent history by taking a Black Taxi Tour of the Irish murals in Belfast or Derry. Also, immersive art experiences like the traveling Van Gogh exhibit or the Monet and friends experience.
- 6- Buying art can be a great way to immersive yourself in the art scene especially when you peruse all kinds of pastels, watercolors, prints, and frames. Just be sure to buy things that are local.
